Tower-Soudan School January Students of the Month

The new year kicked off at the Tower-Soudan Elementary School with multiple students earning SOARRR stickers and becoming eligible for the weekly student drawings. Recognizing students for their outstanding behaviors based on SOARRR (Safe, On-task and Always Respectful, Responsible and Ready to Learn) brings us great joy.

They ended January with a Pep Fest Celebration. Grades 3-6 avenged an earlier loss to Grades K-2 in our whisper competition. The student council announced that the 3rd grade won the Food Shelf Challenge by gathering 190 items. It was a close competition, but more importantly, our kids learned the importance of helping others in need.

Finally, the January Students of the Month were announced. Congratulations Chloe (K), Harley (5-6), Harper (2), Zaija (4), Elliana (1) and Payton (3).

Spelling Bee

Congratulations to Silas. Silas, a 5th grader, won the 2024-25 T-S Spelling Bee. Silas will represent the Golden Eagles at the Regional competition on February 11 at the NE Service Coop. The T-S staff and students are proud of you and wish you the best!

Reminders from Mr. Jirik

• There is a 3rd grade boys basketball game in the T-S gym at 5:00 p.m. after the 1st and 2nd grade practice on Tuesday, February 11. The girls and boys basketball players appreciate your support on the road this year and hope to see you for their first home game.
• The next PTO meeting is set for Thursday, February 13 at 3:15 in the school library.
