The media works hard to control what you see in Gaza

TEL AVIV, Israel—Let’s debunk a major myth of the mainstream media. Gaza is not an “open-air prison.” How do we know? President Trump has proposed allowing the people of Gaza to leave the hellish ruins, while the out-of-touch media insists that they stay under the punishing rule of Hamas.

Disturbing video evidence shows Hamas gunmen brazenly stealing humanitarian aid. When hungry Gazans attempted to take aid, the footage showed the terrorists then mercilessly beating the civilians with sticks and spray painting the word “thief” on their backs.

Prime Minister Netanyahu stated that President Trump’s plan to give Gazans the choice to leave is “right on the dot.”

“Why not give Gazans a choice?” Netanyahu asked in an address on Sunday. “Everybody said this is the largest open-air prison in the world. Not because of us. We let people leave. In fact, if you want to know, over the last couple of years, two years I think, 150,000 Gazans left. You know how they left? Because they bribed their way out, not through us. They bribed their way out. The rich could leave, but if other people wanted to leave, give them a choice, not forcible eviction, not ethnic cleansing. In a war zone people leave.”

“We tried to get the population to leave, to get them out of harm’s way, and Hamas, with rifles, with gunfire, tried to prevent them from leaving,” he underscored. “So we moved them around so that they would get out of harm’s way. But if people want to leave, if they want to emigrate, it’s their choice. And I think President Trump’s plan is right on the dot.”

I will bet that you have not seen video footage of Hamas beating hungry Gazan civilians in the mainstream media. Why? Because controlling information is a way of controlling speech. Did you hear the absurd take from CBS Margaret Brennan? While criticizing Vice President JD Vance’s remarks in Germany, calling for a more robust exchange of ideas, she blamed free speech for the Holocaust.

“[Vance] was standing in a country where free speech was weaponized to conduct a genocide,” she insisted.

Brennan’s take on Nazi Germany isn’t just historically illiterate, it is woefully ignorant. Thankfully, Secretary Rubio was there to set the record straight.

“Free speech was not used to conduct a genocide,” Rubio responded. “The genocide was conducted by an authoritarian Nazi regime that happened to also be genocidal because they hated Jews and they hated minorities… They had a list of people that hated, but primarily the Jews. There was no free speech in Nazi Germany. There was none. There was also no opposition in Nazi Germany.”

Hitler imprisoned and murdered his political opponents. He didn’t call for debate with them. What happened to our media, the people with a duty enshrined in the constitution to be watchdogs of government and to expose corruption? Consider the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Our media seems to be more angry about the waste being uncovered than the fraud itself.

In case you missed it, Vance went “scorched earth” to the European leaders’ faces. He stated that nothing is more urgent than mass migration, which is completely remaking cities like London and Paris. Vance also said this about the world’s leading climate alarmist: “I say this with all humor. If American democracy can survive 10 years of Greta Thunberg scolding, you guys can survive a few months of Elon Musk.”

The same media elites who want to control what you say are the ones trying to control what you see in Gaza. They won’t show you Hamas stealing aid or beating civilians. They certainly won’t show you Gazans desperate to leave. It doesn’t fit the narrative of Israel as the oppressor—when it’s actually Hamas.

Trump and Netanyahu understand—whether it’s the right to speak or the right to make a better life—freedom is non-negotiable. Peace through strength isn’t just a military strategy; it’s about having the strength to tell the truth and let the people choose their own destiny.

Editor’s Note: Israel is the issue

Jack Hibbs, Founder of the Real Life Network, in his podcast episode “Israel Is The Issue,” instructed Christians to be careful what they believe from media organizations concerning Israel, warning, “Things aren’t always what they appear to be.”

“There are innocents who die in war. It’s not the plan. It’s not the target,” he noted. “But, according to the top generals of militaries around the world… there is not a nation on earth that has a more moral military than Israel. Hands down. Just research that for yourself.”

However, Iran-backed terrorist organizations such as Hamas and Hezbollah store their most vicious armaments “in daycare centers, hospitals, neighborhoods, schools—areas where there is a civilian population,” Hibbs highlighted.

“God has announced in Scripture that those who bless Israel, He will bless (Genesis 12:3),” he explained. “Be careful that you do not fall for demonic atmospherics and optics of replacement theology and antisemitism.”

“God will more and more be focusing on Israel, not less and less. Your opinion, my opinion, is worthless when it comes to our analysis of Israel. Why? Because God wrote it out [in the Bible],” Hibbs said, adding that the nation of Israel has a key role, more than any other nation, in God’s prophetic Word.
