
Pacesetter NE Region Youth BB Playoffs in Mt Iron …
Tower-Soudan Elementary is among the 50 teams set to play.
Over 50 teams in grades 4-7 will play off Saturday and Sunday, February 15-16, in the Pacesetter Northeast Region Playoffs in Mountain Iron and Grand Rapids.
Mountain Iron-Buhl High School will host 5th and 7th grade boys on Saturday and 5th and 7th grade girls on Sunday. Grand Rapids High School will host 4th and 6th girls on Saturday and 4th and 6th grade boys on Sunday.
Teams have registered so far from 21 schools: Cloquet, Cromwell-Wright, Grand Rapids, Hermantown, Rock Ridge, Mountain Iron-Buhl, Cherry, Chisholm, Hibbing, Red Lake, North Woods, Barnum, Cass Lake, Clearbrook-Gonvick, Greenway, Tower-Soudan, International Falls, Esko, Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg, Deer River, and Duluth Denfeld. Teams may register through Saturday, Feb. 8, at www.pacesettersports.net.
Five Minnesota region champions and three wild card teams in each age group will then be invited to play in the 33rd Annual Pacesetter Minnesota State Championships in St. Cloud on Sunday, March 30.
The Minnesota state champion and runner-up for each group will be invited to play in the Pacesetter Great Five-State Championships at the Target Center in Minneapolis on a Minnesota Lynx home weekend. Teams from Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, and South Dakota join each 8-team bracket.
