Lake Vermilion Area Trail Report – January 22, 2025

I hope your last week has gone well. Trail conditions are looking up a bit from last week! Attached is the trail report as of today.

We were able to get an initial groom on the Arrowhead and Taconite State Trails, along with the Putnam and Fishing Lakes trails, before last weekend’s traffic.

We still need more snow before we can get into a regular grooming schedule. For the time being, we will be grooming in those trail segments where we are able, i.e. spots that don’t have a ton of ledge rock, exposed ground, etc.

I will continue to update the online trail conditions as things change.
