Iron Range Barn Dance on January 11th
VIRGINIA, Minn./January 10, 2025/—Get ready to swing your partner and dance the night away. Iron Range Barn Dances has announced an upcoming barn dance on Saturday, January 11, from 7 – 9:30 p.m. at Kaleva Hall in Virginia.
Barn dances are a uniquely American tradition that for generations has brought communities together for a social evening of laughter, connection, and dancing.
Iron Range Barn Dances is a passionate, fun-loving group of Rangers who want to see our community brought together through the joy of dancing, music, and culture. Their mission is to create unforgettable memories filled with laughter, energy, and connection.
With the Iron Range Barn Dance Series, they seek to keep these traditions alive by making local communities more connected, family-friendly, and fun places to be. Live music will be provided by the local band, Sugar on the Roof, with Wade Pearson calling the dances.

Sugar on the Roof is a self-described “old-timey string band, country, and swing music from the ’20s, ’30s, and ’40s, and a dash of original.”
All experience levels are welcome. All dances will be taught, and learning barn dancing is as simple as walking and counting to four.
Admission is offered on a $5-10 sliding scale, and children under 13 get in free. No partner necessary for attendance.
Mark your calendars, grab your dancing shoes, and join Iron Range Barn Dances for a night of community connection and good old-fashioned fun.\
Bring your family, friends, and anyone you can drag on the dance floor. For more information, contact Eliot Dixon at 715-595-3060 or dixoeli@gmail.com, or visit ironrangebarndances.org.
