As Veterans Day approaches – Honoring Our Veterans
We will take time to remember the men and women who answered the call to serve our country. From the muddy battlefields of long-ago wars to the modern missions carried out across the world today, each veteran has given something of themselves so that the rest of us can live in freedom and peace. Their service isn’t measured only by medals or uniforms, but by courage, sacrifice, and quiet strength. Many returned home and became our neighbors, teachers, firefighters, and community leaders—still serving in different ways. Others never made it home, and their memory lives on in the hearts of loved ones and in the fabric of our nation. On this Veterans Day, may we do more than simply offer thanks. Let us take time to listen to their stories, support their needs, and teach the next generation what their service truly means. Freedom has a price, and our veterans have paid it with honor. To all who have served, and to the families who have stood beside them, we say with deep respect and gratitude: thank you.
