LETTER: In support of Option B

I strongly encourage the citizens of Greenwood Township to vote in favor of Option B on March 11, 2025. The duties of township treasurer and town clerk are far too important to be a personality contest. We always need competent, dedicated personnel in these positions who work in concert with the vision of the board and not in opposition to it. That has not always been the case. Voting in favor of Option B will prevent a rogue treasurer or town clerk from circumventing the will of the majority township board. The end result should be a more effective, less contentious administration. Remember: It is the responsibility of the township board to set policies, not the treasurer or township clerk.
