DISCUSSION
Issued at 1257 AM CST Wed Dec 25 2024
It`s a foggy day, on Christmas Day,
The clouds are here to stay,
With moisture in the air, and southerly flow,
The temperatures will grow.
The rain will start to fall, on Thursday night,
A steady, gentle sight,
By Friday it will spread around,
A wet and drizzly sound.
Oh, it`s a winter world, after all,
After the rains call,
Saturday night may bring a mix,
At the border, winter`s steady fix.
And on Sunday skies will clear,
But next week`s forecast seems unclear,
Monday`s still uncertain, so,
Expect a little rain or snow.
And after New Year, temps will drop,
Cooler air will make a stop,
The winter chill will set in tight,
As temperatures feel just right.
Temperatures are dropping,
Chill is soon to stay,
Winter`s grip will tighten,
In the New Year`s way!
AVIATION
Issued at 537 AM CST Wed Dec 25 2024
Stratus hangs low, a heavy gray,
With LIFR flight cats, poor is the way.
Tonight brings more of the same refrain,
Little to no improvement to gain.
As clouds grow thick, freezing drizzle may fall,
A slippery threat for pilots and all.
MARINE /FOR NEAR SHORE WATERS OF WESTERN LAKE SUPERIOR
Issued at 1257 AM CST Wed Dec 25 2024
On Lake Superior, winds may gust,
Southwest to 20 kt, steady and just, through Friday.
Small craft advisories, possible too,
They come and go, then calm the seas,
As waves decrease, the lake at ease.
