A Ramsey County judge issued an order on Friday finding that a DFL legislator-elect Curtis Johnson “did not meet the residence requirements” to serve as the representative for a north metro district and “is enjoined from taking the oath of office” as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives.

Reports of potentially catastrophic laser strikes aimed at aircraft flying in Minnesota have increased more than 180% since 2015, and are on track this year to reach their highest level yet.

Pilots often describe laser strikes — when someone trains a laser toward the cockpit of an airplane or helicopter, intentionally or not — as a flash, like the sudden pop of a camera’s flashbulb. These attacks may temporarily blind or at the very least distract a pilot usually during takeoffs and landings, considered critical phases of flight for planes that may be carrying a hundred passengers or more.

Our elections are not OK

The main problems are ridiculously extended voting periods, mass absentee ballots, lack of voter ID, flimsy signature verification, unsecured drop boxes, voting machines with opaque software and connectivity to the internet, and sloppy, inaccurate voter rolls. We wouldn’t accept any of these third-world standards in our personal banking or accounting practices—why are we OK applying them to our precious votes?

The DFL war on Minnesota agriculture must end

We are now past the very unusual 2024 election. Before we turn the page to 2025 and beyond, we should pause to reflect upon a critical reality: Minnesota’s farmers have endured years under relentless attack from hard-left Democrats in governments in our state and beyond, resulting in damaging policies and regulatory overreach that threaten our state.

What’s next for Gov. Walz and how it affects other Minnesota Democrats

Now, the governor returns to Minnesota having not become vice president-elect, having lost his trifecta, having not been able to add to the Democrats’ margin of victory in Minnesota, and having lost his home county to Trump.

To put it mildly, the governor returns in a diminished state.
